THE NATIONAL HOME IMPROVEMENT SHOW

The National Home Improvement Show is taking place at Earl’s Court, London from 30th September – 2nd October and Colourline will be there. So, if you’re looking to improve your home the National Home Improvement Show is just the place for ideas, inspiration and advice no matter how large or small your project may be.

Colourline are on stand 1260 – a fantastic location right opposite Pizza Express. It’s taken an awful lot of hard work from all of us here to create what we believe will our best exhibition stand to date.  

Steve Prudence, Production Manager, at Colourline has worked on the design and build of the stand for the National Home Improvement Show and is pleased with the result. “We’ve gone for some pretty exciting colours this year to show the huge range that is available. The 80 High Insulation bi folding door is a shade of brown with a high gloss finish, which looks impressive. And we’ve really gone to town on the ASS50 sliding door – it has to be seen to be appreciated – but we’ve got a dual colour with white and a Special FX paint which gives a two-tone effect – simply stunning and definitely not the norm! “  

“However, for the traditionalist amongst us,” continues Steve, “We’ve also gone for the ever popular white and grey so we’re hoping that visitors to the stand will be inspired to find out more.”

Bi Folding Doors – Versatility For You

You’ve decided to install Colourline aluminium bi folding doors – now you need to decide on the configuration you want. Our systems are hugely versatile and allow you to customise your doors to best suit your own home. 

“Some of our customers are initially confused by the opening options available to them,” says Martin James, Director of Colourline. “There are a multitude of combinations depending on the size of opening, and the number of panels required.” 

“There’s no need to worry though as we’re always available to offer help and advice, continues Martin. “You just need to think about what situation is best for you personally. Our general rule of thumb is that our maximum panel size is 1200 x 2600 – but there really is no limit to the number of panels you can have. Our systems could easily cope with a 20 metre opening for example. So, once you’ve decided on the number of panels you need the opening options can be decided from there. The Bi Folding Doors can open inside or outside the property and can be split to open to the left or right.” 

“We would usually suggest that the Bi Folding Doors open out so that you can fully utilise the inside space. Another consideration is do you want or need a traffic door. This is a panel that can be opened the same way as a traditional door so if you need to put the dog or the children out there’s no need to open the whole lot!”
